Stepping into challenge is at the core of our work at Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School.

From our in-classroom character curriculum to our high-ropes course to backpacking along the Appalachian Trail, we help students build skills and communities that empower them to find the support they need to take risks. Through safe learning spaces youth can find the courage they need to tackle real-life challenges, wherever they may face them.

84% of our students reported their Outward Bound program prepared them for new challenges. Encouraging students to stretch themselves both physically and emotionally results in greater confidence, increased awareness, and a more dynamic sense of personal motivation.

With 100% of CBOBS students supported through subsidized programs and scholarships, our donor community is paramount to building more opportunities for students to succeed! Be a part of our dedicated donor crew with a year end gift today.

Thank you to our dedicated Board members and donors who accepted the challenge for our Board Matching Week! For the week of December 4th- 8th, our Board Members matched, dollar for dollar their full goal of $50,000!

As this season of giving continues, it is not too late to join in with a year-end gift. Your support builds lasting impact for local Baltimore and Washington DC youth. Hear from two of our Board Members, Natalie Sherman and Chris Rhodes.
