Stepping into challenge is at the core of our work at Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School.
From our in-classroom character curriculum to our high-ropes course to backpacking along the Appalachian Trail, we help students build skills and communities that empower them to find the support they need to take risks. Through safe learning spaces youth can find the courage they need to tackle real-life challenges, wherever they may face them.
84% of our students reported their Outward Bound program prepared them for new challenges. Encouraging students to stretch themselves both physically and emotionally results in greater confidence, increased awareness, and a more dynamic sense of personal motivation.
